Wearing Flat Sandals Improves Your Posture

Being shoe specialist who has worn high heels for nearly all of her days, the idea of turning to flat sandals can seem about as comfortable as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in this season’s 6″ stilettos. While there are a quantity of genuinely gorgeous flats about this year – with them the grungy gladiator shoe – the fact is that for lots of ladies wearing flat shoes for even just several minutes is sufficient to dispatch quick pains going up their legs. While it is tempting to see this as reason enough to steer clear of bad sandals and flip flops, in truth this intense soreness is your greatest reason to get those feet in a duo of flats quick smart.

The trouble with high heels is that they warp your lower back into an unnatural shape by thrusting your pelvis ahead and crippling your back. As you move in this strange stance your boobs and bottom are forced to protrude at all sorts of angles that can feel all incredibly sexy until you begin to face the long-term effects of these orthopaedic nightmares, that can contain constant lower back pain and intervertebral disc damage. Even though you can get used to walking in heels – so much so that anything else feels abnormal – the truth is that if you find it hard to walk not including being bent this way, then chances are you’re at jeopardy of severe damage down the road.

Just take a look at your beloved strapless sandals, ballet flats or even your sneakers and you’ll notice that the form of the shoe’s toe region comes to a point. Now take a glance at your feet. Recognize the difference? When given sufficient breathing space our toes naturally assemble in an arc arrangement so that our feet are much wider at the front than at the heel. Despite this, most fashion sandals get narrower at the front and crunch them together, which can lead to crooked big toes and painful (not to talk about hideous) bunions. The force on those pitiable tiny toes is made all the worse when they are jammed into high heels which transfer the heaviness of the entire body from the strong heel bone to the fragile bones at the front of the feet. Now you are aware there is a worthy reason to wear flat sandals whenever you can.
